Wallyford Library reopens

Wallyford Library will reopen this evening following closure due to flooding. The library will be open as normal from 5pm until 8pm and staff look forward to welcoming back their readers. Once again we apologise for the closure and thank all the Wallyford readers for their patience.

Wallyford Update

Thank you to all our Wallyford readers for their patience as we try to repair the flood damage to the library. Hopefully the new carpet will be laid at the beginning of next week with the aim to re-open the library either Thursday the 19th or Friday the 20th of July. The Mobile Library will again be parked outside the library on Monday afternoon for those who can't manage to Musselburgh.

Update on Wallyford Library

Wallyford Library looks likely to be closed until the end of next week. The Mobile Library will be parked outside the library on Monday 9th July from 1.30-3.30pm and on Thursday 12th July between 4.30pm and 6pm. Books can be returned at these times and new choices selected. Alternatively Musselburgh Library is just a short bus journey away. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and hope to reopen as soon as possible.

Wallyford Library is currently closed due to flood damage. We apologise for any inconvenience and hope to have the library re-opened as soon as possible. Customers are reminded that they can use Musselburgh Library or any other East Lothian Council library. Items can be renewed and requested on-line at or telephone Musselburgh Library on 0131 653 5130.

Oliver Eade visits Haddington and Ormiston libraries

Don't miss a visit by popular author Oliver Eade. Come along on Wednesday (4th July), 11.30am at Haddington library, 2.00pm at Ormiston. For ages 8-12 years - and it's FREE!
Oliver's latest book is the Monkey King's Revenge,sequel to Moon Rabbit. Maisie is kidnapped by the vengeful Monkey King and taken to his dungeon in ancient China where the curse of the Jade Snake threatens to turn her into the Monkey Queen. How will Stevie and friends save her in time?
