Learn Origami during the Haddington festival

Origami sessions with world class expert Dennis Walker. Dennis has been folding for over 35 years and joined the British Origami Society in 1986. Since then he has continued to fold and started the online Origami Database that allows people to search for origami diagrams on the web and also those that are listed in books. He is currently the editor of the British Origami Society Magazine and last year he was invited to American and Japanese Origami Conventions as a special guest to teach origami and talk about the database. He will be holding 5 separate sessions on Saturday 25th May, at 10.15am, 11.15am, 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm. Each session lasts about 45 minutes. Different models will be demonstrated at each session so participants may wish to attend more than one. The final session will be slightly trickier and will show a bit more of what is possible with origami. All the sessions are for adults and children but younger children (under 8) must be accompanied by an adult to help them fold. Tickets: £2.50 per person which must be bought in advance from the library. An accompanying adult plus under 8 year old counts as one. Tickets are not yet available for this Haddington festival event, but you may book a place in advance by contacting the library.
